February 10th through February 14th
On Friday, February 14th we will celebrate Valentine's Day. If students choose to pass out Valentine's Day cards, they should get a card for everyone in the class. There are 18 students in the class.
The Twenty-third Week at School:
Science: This week we will continue the study of space in chapter 10.
Social Studies: We will finish the study of chapter 3 titled People Move from Place to Place. There will be a chapter 3 test on Thursday, February 13th.
Math: We will continue studying chapter 8 which focuses on multiply/divide by 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12. We will also work on problem solving. There will be a multiply and divide by 7 test on Tuesday, February 11th.
Spelling:
Monday: Pretest on lesson 18
Homework - Cursive worksheet
Homework - Cursive worksheet
Tuesday: Homework - Write words 5 times each
Wednesday: Homework - Write each word in a sentence.
Friday: Post test on lesson 18
English: Students will type their autobiography.
Reading: We will continue a biography unit. Students will finish finding juicy details on the person they are reading about. Then they will work on a poster which represents their person. Finally, they will present the juicy details and poster to the class.
Things to Remember:
Tuesday 2/11: There will be a divide and multiply by 7 test.
Thursday 2/13: We will have a chapter 3 social studies test.
Friday 2/14: There will be a spelling test. We will have a Valentine's Day party!
