April 16th to April 20th

We will continue PARCC testing. Students have completed their math PARCC tests and we will now complete PARCC testing for ELA on Monday, April 16th, Wednesday, April 18th, and Thursday, April 19th.  Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a good snack! Chromebooks need to be fully charged every night and ear phones should be brought to school daily! Please check with your child about whether they have headphones at school.

Tuesday, April 17th is an early dismissal day.  Please plan accordingly. Students will be dismissed at 11 a.m.

The Upcoming Week at School: 

Social Science:  We will continue our study of Chicago. Students will learn about the World Fair and about the first Ferris Wheel. Look for a study guide to come home this week. There will be a test in the week of April 23rd. 

Math: We will also continue unit 6 on Multiplication & Division, Data, & Fractions.  We will continue Unit 6, module 2 which reviews area and perimeter and then we will work on module 3 which features line plots, fractions, and division. 

Spelling: Students will receive a new spelling list. They should complete 3 activities by Friday, April 20th. There test will also be on Friday, April 20th. 

ELA: We will continue reading The One and Only Ivan! We will also continue our Daily 5 program. Students should continue to read 20 minutes each night.
