Miss Pellin's Post
April 22nd to April 26th

Earth Day is on Monday, April 22nd!  We will be celebrating Earth Day at Prairieview on Monday, April 22nd.  Students can wear an Earth Day shirt or the color green!

Open House:  It has been reschedule for Tuesday, April 23rd from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  Third grade's Open House theme is Chicago, so come wearing your favorite Chicago team's apparel!  I look forward to seeing each of you!

During open house, you will have the opportunity to view the children's biography report videos. With the help of Mrs. Csorba (our IMC teacher) and Mrs. Foellmer (our tech support teacher), we video taped each student and made a QR (Quick Reponse) code for each video. The videos are uploaded to the internet using google docs and not accessible to anyone without the QR code.  To use the QR code, you need a smart device, like a smart phone or ipad. You can download a free QR reader prior to open house so you can click the special bar code and watch the video. Isn't technology cool?!?!

This is a sample of a QR code. You can use your smart phone or
smart device to scan the code which brings you right to the website!

They will also need to write a summary on their story.
