Miss Pellin's Post
May 30th to June 3rd

There will be no school on Monday, May 30th.  It is Memorial Day!  Please plan accordingly.

Please check for any textbooks which may have been left at home.  They need to be returned as soon as possible.  Thank you!

Friday, May 27th will be the last day of reading and math.  I had a wonderful year with both classes!

The Nineteenth Week of 2011 at School:

Science: Students will learn about different tools that are used in science experiments.  Students will also learn about the scientific method.

Social Studies: We will study maps.  Students will learn about map scales and symbols.

Spelling:  We have completed all of the spelling tests for the year.  There will not be a new list this week.

Reading: We will continue our nonfiction study on animals while reviewing the reading strategies taught throughout the year.

English: Students should turn in their expository final draft on Tuesday, May 31st.  We will then study persuasive writing.

Math:  We will work on word problems which will review concepts that have been taught throughout the year.
