Students have enjoyed researching for their country chapter book! They have loved sharing facts with one another!

We will not have school on Friday, February 28th due to an institute Day.  Please plan accordingly.

The Upcoming Week at School:
ELA:  This week students will finish their research notes on their country and then they will type their country chapter book. If they do not finish typing their chapters in class, you may see it is for homework in their assignment notebook.

The February Reading Log should be turned in on Thursday, February 27th or Monday, March 2nd.

Spelling:  Students have already received a spelling list and should complete three activities using the spelling menu.  The test will be on Thursday, February 27th.  The activities will also be due on Thursday, February 27th.

Math:   This week students will study polygons and their attributes. They will solve polygon riddles and then create their own. Then we will study area and perimeter using multi-digit numbers. We will have a divide by 9 timed test on Thursday, February 27th.  They will have two minutes to complete 26 problems.

Social Science: We will continue our Inheritance and Traits curriculum. Students will further investigate how traits are passed down from parents to offspring by building "clay creature offspring" using instructions about the "parent creatures."  The students will then compare creatures and observe the variation in traits among siblings.

Things to Remember:
Thursday 2/27:  The spelling 3 activities are due and there will be a spelling test. There will be a divide by 9 test. The February Reading Log is due.
Friday 2/28: There will not be school due to an institute day.

Monday 3/2: The February Reading Log is due.
