Thank you so much for the very generous gifts! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! School will resume on Monday, January 8th.
The Upcoming Week at School:
Social Science: We will focus on social studies. Students will read Chapter 3, lesson 1 in our Social Studies textbook titled, Moving to a New Community. They will then read lesson 2 titled, Learning New Customs.
Also, we will have an in-school field trip on Tuesday, January 9th that we like to call "Matter, Matters." Scientists from High Touch, High Tech will be coming in to review the states of matter while conducting experiments.

Math: When we return from break, students will finish the study of unit 4, module 1 on place value and addition strategies. Then they will review regrouping with subtraction standard algorithm and will also learn other subtraction strategies in module 2. Students will also take a divide by 5 test on Wednesday, January 9th.
Spelling: Students will receive a new spelling list and should complete three activities using the new spelling menu. The test will be on Friday, January 19th. The activities will also be due on Friday, January 19th.
December Reading Logs will be due on Monday, January 8th. A January reading log was sent home on Thursday.

Things to Remember:
Monday 1/8: December Reading Logs are due.
Wednesday 1/10: There will be a divide by 5 test. Friday 1/19: There will be a spelling test and 3 activities are due.
